Testing was performed by Apple in February 2022 on a pre-production Mac Studio system model with Apple M1 Ultra configuration, 20-core CPU, and 128GB RAM as well as a pre-production Mac Studio system model with Apple M1 Max configuration, 10-core CPU and 64GB RAM, all system models configured with 8TB SSD, as well as production Mac Pro system model with 3.2GHz 16-core Intel Xeon W configuration with 192GB RAM and 4TB SSD and 27-inch iMac system model with 3.6 HDD 10GHz Intel Core i9 configuration with 128GB RAM and 8TB SSD. Tested with Houdini FX 19.0.524 pre-release using narrowband FLIP simulation scene. Performance tests are performed on specific computer systems and reflect the relative performance of Mac Studio, Mac Pro, and iMac. Apple's testing in February 2022 on a pre-production Mac Studio system model with Apple M1 Ultra configuration, 20-core CPU, 64-core GPU, and 128GB RAM, as well as a pre-production Mac Studio system model with Apple configuration M1 Max, 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, and 64GB of RAM, all system models configured with an 8TB SSD, as well as a production Mac Pro model with a 3.2GHz 16-core Intel Xeon W configuration with 192GB RAM, AMD Radeon Pro W5700X graphics with 16GB GDDR6, configured with Afterburner and 4TB SSD, and production 27-inch iMac system model with 3.6GHz 10-core Intel Core i9 configuration with Radeon Pro 5700 graphics XT, 16GB GDDR6, 128GB RAM, and 8TB SSD. Tested with Affinity Photo 1.10.4 using the built-in standard version 11021. Performance tests are performed on specific computer systems and reflect the relative performance of Mac Studio, Mac Pro, and iMacs.
